About Me

Hi, I’m Stephen — an experienced teacher, tutor, and coach with 20 years in secondary education.

I specialise in Geography (KS3-KS5) and Biology KS3-KS4) but my work goes far beyond subject knowledge. As a teacher, Head of Department, and long-standing GCSE and A-Level examiner, I’ve supported thousands of students both inside and outside of the classroom to build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve strong academic results.

I work with students across a wide range of abilities, helping them prepare for exams through clear explanations, structured learning, and personalised support. My experience as an examiner with AQA and Pearson (Edexcel) means I can show students exactly how marks are awarded and how to maximise their performance.

Alongside tutoring, I offer coaching and mentoring for educators and the general public. I have extensive experience supporting teachers, trainee educators, and school staff through coaching, professional development, and leadership guidance. I also work with individuals outside of education who are looking to build confidence, gain clarity, improve performance, or navigate personal and professional challenges.

I have recently completed a Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring from the Institute of Counselling, further strengthening my ability to support people in achieving meaningful, sustainable progress.

Whether you’re a student aiming to improve your grades, an educator looking for professional support, or someone seeking clarity and direction, I provide structured, supportive, and results-focused guidance tailored to your goals.
